asked: What do you think will be the sector trend to watch this
year and how do you predict your sector could change in 2012?
Health Care: Demand for
Health Care IT Workers

Overall, the increased demand for
temporary and direct hire personnel is expected to continue in 2012.
Health care reform initiatives such as
government-mandated deadlines for
electronic medical records and classification conversions are also fueling a
growing need for workers who do not
focus directly on patients, including
health care IT and nursing informat-ics professionals, medical coders, and
medical auditors.
Demand for patient services in ambulatory health care settings is growing
much more rapidly than in hospital settings. As a result, health care staffing
firms can expect a higher percentage
of their job orders to come from retail
pharmacies, outpatient clinics, ambulatory surgery centers, home health
organizations, and even nursing call
centers. This is being driven by pending
health care reform and an overall need
to deliver patient care in a more cost-effective manner.
