If a prospective client asks what the CSP
means, how do you explain it?
I explain that the CSP provides me with
common staffing protocol across the country—
proven by other professionals—to use in my
day-to-day dealings with clients, partners, and
vendors. It allows me to have specific and
tailored conversations with these individuals
to work toward a common goal, and reach that
goal using the best route.
What is the best part about being CSP-
certified?
Being certified has given me more confidence when making tough decisions in my
everyday work. It has also provided me with an
incredible feeling of accomplishment and drive
for further professional growth. Being certified has positioned me as a leader within my
company and the workforce community.

Were you nervous about taking the online
exam?
I was initially nervous about taking the exam
but after studying the materials provided to me
by the ASA and taking multiple practice exams,
I found that my nerves were calmed and I
gained the knowledge I was seeking.
What was your best strategy for
preparing for the online exam?
My strategy consisted of a disciplined study
routine and organization of study materials. I
planned my study sessions at the same time
every day and typed my notes into a spread-sheet. Before beginning a new chapter, I
reviewed my notes and quizzed myself.
What is one tip you would give another
staffing professional interested in pursuing
ASA certification?
Pursue certification if you are ready to take
your industry knowledge and best practices to
another level. Be diligent and commit to a study
schedule, and push yourself to understand the
reason behind the information you are learning
and mastering.
