Social Recruiting—On the Sector Level
The questions posed to industry professionals in this installment of Sections
Sound Off focus on social media and recruiting efforts: What social media platform
is most effective for recruiting in your sector? Do you think your sector’s social media
recruiting trends might change in the near future? How are you engaging candidates
on these platforms right now?
Health Care: Facebook
Rules Recruiting Efforts
Timothy A. Kinnetz, RN PS, president
and chief executive officer
Grape Tree Medical Staffing
We have found that Facebook is our
most effective social media platform.
Our target market are Gen X and Y
health care providers who have embraced
social media overall and Facebook especially. The second most effective recruiting tool is craigslist. Craigslist seems to
appeal most to Gen X and Y and their
interest in non-traditional avenues of job
searches and seems to be closely related
to social media for our candidates.
Industrial: Integrated Social
Media Works Best
Thomas S. Sarach Jr., president
Reliance Staffing & Recruiting
Reliance has fully embraced social
media through our COATS software
and COATS partner Haley Marketing.
As soon as new orders come in, they are
picked up by our social media integration
and automatically posted to our Web site
job board, Facebook, Indeed, and a local
city site called Career Connection.
