What initially attracted you to work in the staffing
industry? How long have you been a temporary
I have been with Rx relief for about 14 years. I
made the move to temporary employment as a step
toward retirement after 19 years in the retail environment. My 19 years with the previous company was
mainly as a pharmacist-in-charge/manager for the
pharmacy department. Since I did still want to work
at least part time, temporary employment was a nice
fit to maintain my licenses and knowledge base, and
remain current with new medications and treatments.
It also allowed great flexibility in scheduling to allow
me to continue my extensive traveling.
What do you like best about being a temporary
The primary draw to staffing was the flexibility of
schedules. I love to travel and meet people. I have
been fortunate to travel extensively around the globe
since I was a teenager. I have enjoyed working in
many environments, from large cities to small
mountain and farming towns. My staffing company
has met my needs during the years, promoted and
encouraged me to continue in a full-time position
with a client, then welcomed me back with open
arms when that company moved from our area.
They have been flexible and supportive through all
challenges in my life, and have allowed me great
flexibility at work—which as a single mom has been
What do you like best about your staffing
company? What do you think makes Rx relief
My staffing company is the best. They are my
family. I have developed lifelong friendships from
working with them, and everyone has extended both
personal as well as professional support throughout
the years. They have given me the greatest gift—
time with my daughter—by offering me the flexibility and diversity of job opportunities through
the years. I have been able to attend school functions, volunteer in the classroom, and be a hands-on
mom. We enjoy our adventures; at a young age of
only 11, my daughter has had the opportunity to
travel extensively domestically and internationally.
How would you describe your experiences working
with recruiters from your staffing company?
The recruiters I’ve worked with have always been
positive. They get to know me on a personal level, my
strengths and weaknesses, my needs and wants—and
then present the best opportunities available for me to
