For 25 years, Lucas excelled in the health care and commercial
staffing sectors—starting out as a customer service representative in 1980 at Spherion Corp. and working her way up to
executive vice president of the company.
Using her acclaimed book, Lunchmeat & Life Lessons: Sharing a
Butcher’s Wisdom, as a springboard for this rousing discussion,
Lucas provides specific examples and ideas for inspiring loyalty
in the people in your life—personal and professional. Participants will finish this session motivated and ready to make a positive impression on every individual they encounter daily, and
prepared to proactively deal with challenging people and situations. Following this immersion program, join Lucas in the expo

Designed to inform both buyers and sellers of staffing companies, this workshop addresses the key components of a transaction from both sides—including specific metrics used to
value a company, such as client concentration and diversification, management strength, sectors served, company size, and
profitability. Participants learn how to critically examine these
metrics and improve on those that may be below par. Current
market values for staffing companies of all types also will be
reviewed.
All owners of staffing companies must have an understanding
of the drivers needed to plan for a successful transaction. At
the close of this strategic session, ample time will be set aside
