Attendees took to Twitter to rave about opening
keynote speaker Bill Strickland, who shared his
inspiring story about the nationally renowned job
training program he started in an economically
depressed area in Pittsburgh, where he grew up.
Led by Ed Lenz of ASA, a comprehensive
session on employer mandates and next steps for
staffing firms under the Affordable Care Act drew the
convention’s largest audience on the last morning of
the convention. Attendees arrived early to secure a
seat and took the opportunity to ask copious questions.
Staffing World also showcased award-winning individuals and companies,
including the 2015 National Staffing Employee of the Year, awards for ASA-affiliated
chapter achievement, ASA Care Awards, and ASA VOICE Awards.
In addition to dozens of workshops, Staffing World also featured Collaborative
Learning Symposiums, sponsored by Indeed. These sessions are designed to be interactive and encourage idea-sharing and strategic conversations. Attendees learned
from each other while also making valuable connections.
