The ASA board of directors is well known throughout the industry as a standout and dedi- cated group of individuals who care deeply about the future of the staffing business. Board members are nominated by the board nominating committee and voted on at the annual
membership meeting. Board terms are three years and there are no term limits.
Here is a closer look at the staffing industry leaders currently serving on the ASA board of directors.
John A. Elwood
Elwood is president of Elwood
Staffing Services Inc. Headquartered in Columbus, IN, Elwood
Staffing Services operates 220
service locations in 33 states and employs more than
100,000 temporary employees each year. Elwood
previously served as executive vice president for the
company. He was appointed to the ASA board of
directors in 2008.
Claudette Cunitz, TSC, CSP
First Vice Chairman
Cunitz is an owner and executive officer of G-TECH Services Inc., based in Dearborn,
MI, which has been recognized
as one of metro-Detroit’s 101 best and brightest

Lesa Francis, CSP
Second Vice Chairman
Francis is president and chief
executive officer of Staffmark,
one of the top 10 commercial
staffing companies in the U.S.
Francis joined Staffmark in 2006 as chief operating officer. Prior to joining Staffmark, she held the
position of senior vice president of business development and operations at Spherion. Francis also
held various positions with Adecco, from branch
manager to regional vice president. ➤
